Lots of very good recipes on how to cook cardiac emergency rich food dishes. Pretty much 100% Cajun Creole eating.

I should love that.

Actually, the guy at the auction house where I picked it up said I was a good customer and could have it for free. but I paid them a dollar for it.

I have enjoyed it a dollar's worth already just reading all of the tasty things I could cook if I could afford to buy 10 or 12 pounds of lump crab meat and a case or two of butter.

How could lots of crab meat and butter, with a few other ingredients and a heaping spoon full of Cajun seasoned bread crumbs not make a good dish?

When it was new. it was $19.95, so I have already gotten my dollar's worth of reading from it.

He talks about his holy grail wanted stuff. Mine is the Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking. Never seen one outside of a bookstore and they are expensive (approximately $150.00 ) in those places.

I have that one, rootbeer glazed ham and barbecue shrimp are the best. For the barbe cue shrimp use 1/3 of what the revmcipe calls for.

So it’s the best even though you suggest major alterations to the original recipe. Got it .

What was that pitchman's saying in "Robocop"?

"I'd buy that for a dollar"

Good find and I'm sure it's filled with lots of good recipes.

Well, I don't care for root beer glazed ham. The wife does a tasty Jezebel Sauce and we cook our hams with that. I do my BBQed shrimp using Mr. B's recipe, which is around here somewhere, so There is no need for me to try to adapt either of those two.

I did see things in the book I wanted to try. It is too late at night for me to remember what I liked and as sad as it sounds, by tomorrow, I may not be able to bring back those memories at all, but the book is right by my chair and surely I will remember to look into it again. If not, I only have $1.00 invested. Not as if I wasted any money on Mr. Fitzmorris's book.

Getting old sucks, I do remember my wife and what MHNBPF means, so I should be ok for the near future.

A lot of you know I didn't care for Tom Fitzmorris.

I called him once and told him I bought his book. He was very excited until I laid it on him that I bought it at a garage sale for $1, so it wasn't a benefit to him.

Some good recipes, tho.

The shrimp and mirliton soup recipe is very good. I use my immersion blender before I add the shrimp, because I like the bisque texture more.
