Oz Bar being sold

I was reading the article about the Oz bar on Bourbon being in financial trouble and declaring bankrupcy. Made me wonder, how much money do you think bourbon street bars make during mardi gras and decadence? I would think you could make enough just on those two to pay back your loans!

I've been before. I'm not gay butt was with some gay friends. That place is a meat market. The strippers on the bar will let you jerk them off for a $10 spot. I didn't partake in the festivities but it was funny to observe.

I've heard lots of rumors they were about to be shut down for this very issue. I wonder if this bankruptcy was just the best way out before the place was closed down by the city.

They were doing fine as far as being packed. Article said it was mismanagement of funds.
I've had fun there. But definitely don't sit up at the bar there.

That place had to print money on the weekends. I wonder how much foolishness you had going on for it to be in financial trouble -- like managers being more concerned about trawling for dick than running the bar properly, or employees stealing money and booze (because managers were too busy trawling for dick)

We stick to My Bar for RDR. Upstairs has lots of couches and chairs, a bar, a jukebox and clean bathrooms. Might go there for San Fermin next weekend too.
I figure these guys must have been snorting the profits at Oz. It's a renowned gay bar, packed out every night I've ever gone by!
