Agreed. Japanese or American Wagyu has way too much fat in it for me.
I know it is said that the flavor comes from the fat in beef, so I guess my palate is off, because I always have preferred leaner cuts or types of beef.

Wagyu burger is overrate IMO. The steak itself is not.
My butcher will grind steak trimmings into burger. They mark it 70/30, but it's more like 60/40. It makes an amazing burger. So does the beef tenderloin trimmings we get at Christmas.

Agree. It's a practically tasteless fish that lends itself to seasoning or sauce

The fish sucks because of the way they are raised.
There are thousands of varieties of cichlids and many are tasty, just because it belongs in the broad group doesn't make it a trash fish. Letting Asians farm them in waste water is what makes them bad.

Prime briskets. The flats are fine but the points are too fatty. I go for choice angus briskets if they are available.

Was about to ask about this. Never tried real Wagyu yet and want to.
As far as the burgers go I feel like it's a lie because they are barley more expensive then a regular burger.

most of that is american or australian wagyu... not real deal wagyu.
