For years we use to have a nice pasture behind our house, now we have fricking neighbors. I wish you many hours of enjoying good food and good company in your fabulous backyard.

The land behind us is privately owned and has been in the family for generations. The word is that the family is not likely to ever sell the land. I hope this holds true as I enjoy seeing the cows, dogs and an occasional coyote.

If not, an 8 or 10 ft. fence will go up.

Name escapes me at this time - currently out of town.

I'll check on it tomorrow - wife may know it off top of her head.

I'm sure someone with more knowledge about construction and contacts with subs could do it for less, however given my work background and travel schedule, I decided it was best that I use a professional.

Of course I'm paying for it, however I am very pleased with the craftsmanship and finishes.

Here's the back of my house.
I want something similar to yours but maybe on side opposite of garage I stead of directly behind house.
I did GC on my house and prob saved 20-25%.
Did that 55k include all the appliances? I think I can do a toned down version of yours for 20-25k

Yes.

The materials that I have selected could have probably been toned down, but fortunately we are in a position to be able to take on these expenses.

Looks great. I love those fanimation fans. I'm having six of them installed in my space. It's truly amazing how fast you can burn through money on one of these projects.

They're great. Not cheap, but worth the money. I put all my lights and fans on dimmer / speed switches, really comes in handy.

I incorporated mine into my back porch of the house I built so I don't know what it "cost" but I figured I'd save doing it that way since most of the structure was already there. Is still like to do a standalone structure like you have in a back corner of the yard for lounging. I really like that granet...the one we picked is underwhelming now seeing it layed out. It's leathered with a chizzled edge wich makes it a little better but sometimes I wish I picked something else.
