Cajun Land is what I usually get. Has anyone tried the Rouses Store Brand?

A buddy of mine has been winning a bunch of crawfish cookoffs lately with his powdered Knee Deep Seasoning. They should be in Rouses now or will be shortly. You can check their website for all locations. It won't disappoint

This is exactly what I do and I use Zats liquid for the soak.

Shexter, where are you getting green peanuts to boil?
I'm in DFW and I would love to find a source for green peanuts

To OP,
I just did 2 boils 2 weeks apart. I'm trying to figure what is going to be my go to.

1st Boil:
Louisiana Fish Fry : 1.5 of 4.5Lb bags. (6 lb total for batch 1), then 2nd batch I put the rest of the 2nd bag.

2nd Boil:
Slap Ya Mama: 2x 4 lb bags for 1 batch. This didn't come out crazy spicy or anything. I was worried. Soak on both of these was 20 min with ice in both.

I tasted the powders by themselves.
Louisiana Fish Fry has more of the "boil" flavor like Zatarains.
SYM is just a good flavor and doesn't have the "boil" flavor as much. For both boils I used 1/2 bottle of liquid boil.

In the end I still don't know which is my pick. Both turned out well. I did add 1/2 a cylindar of salt. I was neverous about that, but it wasn't salty at all and helps the potatoes and brings some flavor out.

I’m a traditionalist. I like Zatarains. It’s what I learned to boil with. I know how to tweak it to get what I want out of it and I have no interest in changing or experimenting with others.

I did start adding a bag of the Louisiana garlic boil booster this year and I think I’m going to keep doing it. It definitely adds to the flavor.

I tried the Louisiana Zesty Citrus. It was effective but I didn’t care for the taste, others might like it though, worth a try for a small sack.

I didn’t care for the citrus either but I really liked the garlic.
