I'm not sure what to make of this technique. But you can really go down a rabbit hole on YouTube watching crawfish videos. Enjoy.

Not everyone can be lucky enough to live in Louisiana.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

I admire his effort, but it falls way short.

It's my home. It always will be; even when I retire to the panhandle.

In my blood, I guess.

I get that, but boiling the corn and potatoes for an hour? And why break the bags of crab boil? Is that a thing?

NO, just NO. But if living outside La. or anywhere in the deep south where crawfish can be found fresh I guess it's not a bad alternative.

But for a registered coonass--------NO.

Haha. No stepdad here. But it is fascinating to see all the crazy ways that people conduct crawfish boils on YouTube. I look up a couple of seafood recipes, and I can't help but click on the crawfish boil videos. Especially knowing that I have learned all I can from the multiple threads, year after year, from this board.

No salt?

And since when does it take 45 minutes to an hour to boil potatoes?

You gotta admire the dude's effort though. He didn't do a terrible job, all things considered. As far as boiling corn and potatoes for an hour, he had a low pressure regulator that barely got the water to bubbling so I doubt it was as bad as some are making it out to be.

Wow! Just divide all his shortest stated cooking times by three and he would be close on timing. I am sure He was a hero to everyone he fed.
