We need to start a "how much do you weigh" thread. Good Lord, people!

I'm afraid I am right there with you....but I refuse to eat at fastfood places and the only good place to eat for under 15 bucks is the State Police Cafeteria....Lunch really is getting out of hand...but I have simply gone out less at night and cooked at home....or drank my dinner

Already did that. New furniture arrived at our house today while I was gone, but I did know about the purchase.

Don't think that is the case. She works for a company that has approximately 1500 employees and are about to add 500 more shortly. Plus she's been there for 7 years and has great job security.

Nah, I'm very open about my financials. She knows how to log in and check the bank accounts and I am too much of a family man to do that anyway.

I'm in the same boat with TA, although I probably make FAR less....I eat out a TON. Lunch is probably $8 (on a cheap day) to $15/day.

I am not too wild about leftovers and don't really cook that often at home right now (tiny, pain in the arse kitchen). I probably spend 300-350/mo in eating out I would guess....it is a social thing for me as well. Why sit in my office and eat when I'm in here all day....I want to get out, go eat with co-workers and chat.

I'm retired for one year. I eat lunch at home. Cost is probably about 3 bucks.
When I worked I ate leftovers I had cooked for the prior dinner. I cook every night. Cost was still about 3 bucks. I'm not a big eater. The wife eats waaay more than me but she's even thinner because she runs marathons.

that's my biggest problem. I'd be fine with leftovers if I could eat uninterupted at my desk. But that never happens.

I make my lunch, so I spend maybe 8-12 dollars a week on my lunches. The economy is too shaky for me to go out and eat out every day for lunch.

Used to be $15-$25 a day.

I've cut back and stuck to eating lunch at home lately.

So whatever a loaf of bread, turkey, tomatoes, and chips cost.

What he said...

~$3.00 per day and its a lot healthier than eating out. Although there is a great little Mexican place down the road that makes some awesome chilaquiles.

MMM...

Eating lunch out with the Mrs is an occasional treat -- ~$10 per person.

see, i like going out but i don't like having to sit with my co-workers. I hear all of them run their traps all day, i would rather not hear them while i'm eating.

Wife and I meet for lunch about three-four times a week. We average about 30 a day between the two of us. It is our only time to eat togther without kids, so it is worth it. Lunch this week was Chelseas, Pastime and Atcha.

I used to eat out with my wife all the time for lunch, but haven't done that in well over 6 months.

Schedules just don't work like they used to, plus I don't like her now.

i go out to eat once or twice a week and i never spend more than 20 bucks on going out to eat during the week. i eat leftovers/sammiches/cheap pre-made food more days than not.

my budget is 100/month for going out to each for lunch.

Monday thru Thursday costs $6 - 6 inch sandwich, chips and bottled water from Subway.

Office closes at 1pm on Fridays. I bring two Michealina microwave meals and an apple or pear to work - about $3.50 total.

This is pretty much what we do. Most other days we just don't eat lunch. Just drink bottled water all day.

We had Zea's, Galitore's and French Market Bistro this week. Will be in NO most of next week so I'll eat a couple of times there. If I take the time to eat lunch I eat well. Other than that I'd just rather drink water. Maybe buy a bag of popcorn. We get busy though from time to time and won't eat lunch for a month so the cost probably balances out over the year.
