Well, I find menu items outside of the oysters to be pretty bad. Some of the heaviest food you will find anywhere.

There is literally only one thing on the menu worth eating, and that is the Charbroiled Oysters.

Everything else there is heavy and fairly terrible. (I'm talking other than Lobster, of course).

I stick with the oysters and the crabmeat Mediterranean salad.

Why don't you eat lobster?

Yes the chargrilled oysters.. The some good lobster dishes too. but alas that doesnt help either.. All thats left is really the duck entree (Shuckee Duckee). The shrimp and grits is an ok dish, nothing special.

Even the Shuckee Duckee is incredibly heavy.

I would go with Charbroiled Oysters and Lobster.

It has to be a seafood allergy, a bad experience, or a strange phobia.

Hopefully he'll let us know.

I like Drago's much better than most people on here do. The one downtown is noticeably worse though. Hope you're going to the one in Metry.

I can answer for me, I don't eat lobster because it gives me the gout, which hurts. I also find it very hard to find something to order at dragos. That place leaves me unsatisfied sans the oysters.

This and that shuckee duckie dish mentioned above are both pretty good.

I give dragos a pass on the food not being great and will eat there a few times a year just because of how charitable the family is.

Never heard of a restaurant getting a pass for having average food. They're being charitable with your money.

Yep. But a salad doesn't carry me...this dish and 2 dozen chargrilled did, though.

Not hard with what they charge for a dozen grilled.

Prolly the best profit margin in the city.

I had the same question. It is a thought that leaves me stunned. I a aware of the differences in taste and texture of rock and spiny and the different ways to get an enjoyable meal out of both. With all of the tomalley removed a deep fried spiny lobster will make you dance, wrapped in phyllo with a medley of veggies then baked is another treat.
