Noodles in crawfish boil

In one of my FB Nola food groups I saw an idea that sounded good. There was a guy who puts noodles (in what appeared to be a fry basket or colander) in with the crawfish as they boiled. They soaked up all the spice and flavor and then once they were done and played he added green onion and a squirt of fresh citrus. Never seen it done before, but I’m definitely gonna give it a try at my next boil.

Why dont you just try it tonight on your stove top with crawfish seaoning?
you dont have to boil 40 lbs of crawfish to try a new way to cook noodles.

Bruh. That's gonna work and it's gonna change the game.

are we eating boiled crawfish or Cajun Pho ? Crawfish are seasonal and I'm not filling up on spicy shellfish flavored linguine at a boil.

When I have a boil, I graze throughout the day. There’s room for a little of everything. I’m always looking for new ideas and this seems like a good one.

You could say the same thing for any side thrown in a crawfish boil. Chill.

Trenasse does a shrimp boil po boy that's freaking amazing. This could be similar - next question, what do you top it with?
I'm thinking you go all Asian Cajun and work it up like a hibachi lo mein...

It probably good, but like other people have said, try it on the stove
Mix it with veggies and maybe a protein like shrimp

Or if your cardiologist is nearby pile a fettucini sauce on top

Noodles on noodles would certainly be unhealthy and dry.
...do you mean Alfredo sauce?

My bad, still recovering from Hogs. Yes I meant the gluttonous cheesy alfredo goodness that is typically served on fettucini.

looks tasty. i may try this

This would be good with some chunks of booked sausage some shrimp and fresh green onions, maybe some cabbage for texture.

Sounds awesome. You could refrigerate the noodles and make a fantastic crawfish pasta the next day.

I don't see the appeal--who wants a big pile of pasta at a crawfish boil?
As for using the pre-boiled pasta the next day, no thanks. Reheated noodles hold little appeal. If you're trying to capture crawfish boil flavor, use a few drops of Zatarain's and cook the pasta fresh.
Just because you *can* do something doesn't mean you *should*.

Some tribes also drop human heads in their boils. They shrink down and can be worn as necklaces and spirit stick ornamentation.

Your boils sound boring. Give me some corn, taters, sausages and anything else you can think of throwing in there. Does this mean I don't eat the crawfish? No. That's stupid. It does mean I get to taste the flavor in many different foods.
Your crawfish pretentiousness is noted
