Why does Chicago have deep dish pizza ?

At least that pizza would be good.
The tourist trap places that serve jambalaya that I've tried just really wasn't very good.

the top 50 restaurants in the city don't have that "fake cajun" stuff on the menu.

Also that "fake Cajun stuff" gives real Cajun food a bad rep around the world.

Meh, most of the people probably don't know the difference.

Not IMO

Nobody claimed that every restaurant in NOLA is good.

And my comment about Chicago pizza was to prove that people can take things and put their own spin on them. You don't have to like it.

Ok, we are just wasting time babbling now.
I just wish so many didn't try and associate N.O. as cajun. Thats all. No big deal.

Have fun with this. I have grass to cut and then beer to drink.

Maybe NOLA should stop marketing itself that way. Having Cajun Zydeco festivals and all.

Once again you act as if NOLA is not part of Louisiana and has never been influenced by the cajun heritage of the state.

Alright, so which is it? Nola has cajun influence or it doesn't?

Jones gets mad when I mention jambalaya or something and he talks about home and I say "No, real jambalaya"

He thinks I act like NOLA isn't part of LA too

I adore New Orleans. But it's funny to frick with him.

Yeah, sort of. This hanging around for 6 hours is over the top. Guess it's the ceremony of the event.

Would, won't let me leave until the beer is poured. It's like beer prison.

btw, the place in question with the tomatoes in gumbo and jambalaya is Dick and Jenny's. No clue how touristy that place is.

Just ended up there last week and asked when I saw them listed as menu/specialty items
