According to the sheriff's department, his house is also abandoned.

I guess that vacation was expensive.

Okay....I'm going to need some details here. What happened? Was this the same guy that served out of Barrel Proof?

Had a drink with Arse yesterday and we were talking about Blue Oak and I said I still haven't tried this smokehouse yet. He told me it was probably going to be closing. Oh well.

I don't know how any BBQ joint stays open. You cook a ton of meat and you just hope people show up to eat it. If not, you just eat that cost.

Really a shame. He's got the one child in college and doesn't he have another child as well? Not sure how he can afford a family illness without income, if he couldn't afford to expand his business. Sounds like a scary situation if that's the case. He was recently nearly begging for money with the short lived GoFundMe deal and requests for investors.

Seems he couldn't produce enough food to make it work. He allegedly sold out every day, so it wasn't that he didn't have the customers and the potential to increase his customers. He obviously has a good product.

You either sell out everyday or serve day old meat.
