Planning a trip to New Orleans and looking for recommendations on the best raw bars around for oysters? Looking for good food and atmosphere.
I always hear about Acme, but is that more of a tourist trap, or is it solid? Appreciate the help!

Like above, Peche. Hands down best oysters in town. Acme is fine for chargrilled, but their raw aren’t anything special. Avoid drago’s.

Oysters and however they're preparing tuna on any given day are always fantastic at Peche.
Seaworthy is where I'm going for oysters, especially during their happy hour. I like to get a flight of oysters and compare each one. They have a larger variety of oysters, and unlike Peche, you don't have to order a half a dozen of one kind. I'll get two of each of what they have and then go back for seconds on the ones that I love. I think Island Creeks are my favorite.

Peche is my favorite for crudo, oysters etc. ask for a tuna or other belly - they usually have a few off the menu.
Compere Lapin has some good oysters too. I am not sure if they have reopened yet.

Had no idea. I stand corrected and will hit Seaworthy next time for oysters.
