I really thought about going, does the board think that it is worth 75 dollars?

Seventy Five smackers is a helluva lot for boudin and beer. The only justification I'd have is that you'll be having boudin prepared by some of the best Cajun French chefs in the world, along with some other interesting chefs like Mario Batali..

If I was going, I would look to upgrade to the VIP tickets. You get to hang out with the chefs and eat and drink like two hours before the normal stuff.

Looking at it doesnt sound like it will even include boudin from the mowata store.. Its a upscale have the chefs of new orleans cook with boudin for a cause event. Could be worth $75 with all the cooking coming out of those kitchens. I would feel better if it wasnt with boudin though really unless they are getting the boudin to cook with from the mowata store that is..

Donald Link and Bubba are cousins.. but I don't think Bubba will be driving to New Orleans for boudin.
Serious question.. There's a chef listed by the name of Mark Falgoust from Grand Isle Restaurant. Anybody know this guy? There's a Mark Falgoust originally from Thibodaux.. Same guy?

Thats exact what I was thinking, but I am trying to get more involved in events like this so that's why I was still slightly interested.

Emeril Lagasse, Mario Batali, Donald Link, Bart Bell, Frank Brigsten, Aaron Burgau, John Currence, Dana D'Anzy Touchy, Joel Dondis, Mark Falgoust, Adolfo Garcia, Tariq Hanna, Josh Laskay, Darin Nesbit, Horst Pfeifer, Alex Pilas, Paul Prudhomme, Alon Shaya, Nick Seabergh, Susan Spicer, Stephen Stryjewski, Allsion Vines Rushing and Slade Rushing, David Woodard, Sue Zemanick.
For 75 bucks.. that's under 3 dollars per chef, not to mention all of the Abita offerings. I'm growing more curious.

This is the poor mans version of what Emeril does once a year to raise money for his charities. His real one has more of the star chefs and cost something stupid like $1200 a spot or something along those lines.

My fat bro-in-law brings boudin up from da Mowata stoe. It's awesome.

Boudin and NOLA don't go together in my mind at all.

seriously considering this. not a bad value for what you get, although I wish they had more beer than just Abita.
that being said.. I'm usually pretty happy with some boudin from the gas station and some ice cold Budweisers.

I just read there facebook post about the event again. They will have special cask brews, wine, and scotch tastings too.
It sounds like there will be some food other than just boudin.

It is twenty top notch chefs (some nationally acclaimed) with their own take on boudin and artisan sausage plus all the Abita Beer you can drink (some of which you can't buy)

Went Friday night and had a great time. Some of the food was phenomenal and everything was good. It was nice to see the chefs like Spicer, Garcia, and Batali actually serving the food instead of most of the events where it is just a cook or sous chef. Half of the street was blocked off so you could stay outside under a giant tent with the band or go inside the Foundry. The lines were not more than 5 people at any restaurant. In addition to the beer, there were 3 full service bars, a wine set up, and a Glenlivet scotch/cigar room. Overall it was well worth the $75 and I would return next year if possible.

Indeed, thanks for the review.. Also heard that the music by the Lost Bayou Ramblers was excellent as well.
Will be watching for this next year.. Hopefully it won't fall on the weekend of the Bama game.
