If you pass up Lafayette then stop in Scott. They have 4 places right there off the interstate that you can’t really go wrong with.

How do you pass up Lafayette then stop in Scott if you're headed to Florida?

I was wondering the same thing….

If that’s the case you can stop in Breaux Bridge and go north about 1/4-1/2 a mile. I think it’s Heberts on the left. Hot boudin and get you a Tasso sammich! It’s more old school than the Scott stuff.

If you want links of boudin in Scott then go to Best Stop or Kartchners on the north end.

He clearly meant if you're driving through Laffy (i.e. passing through) on I10, then stop in Scott

While I don't care for Kartchner's boudin, their jalapeno cream cheese boudin ball is even better than Billy's.

Guess that would help. Red river parish. Taking I 49 then 12 to 10.

You likely meant 10 to 12. If you go to 10, you’ll have to go west a bit to go to Scott.

I’d suggest getting off 49 at 190 in Opelousas and taking it to BR instead of 10. Boudin balls can be had on 190 when passing through Krotz Springs. Kartchners is right beside the road at the foot of the bridge.

Cut over to 10 via N Lobdell Hwy just before you get to BR, or proceed on 190 and enjoy driving over the old bridge and link up with 10 via 110 after you cross the river.

It's going to be late at night when we go down. Probably have a better chance coming back. Thanks for all the info. Y'all rock.
