Little organization that I'm involved in that meets every two weeks. Different person responsible for providing food each meeting. Tonight is my night. Problem is that it became my night on pretty short notice. I'll have about 2 hours to whip something up by the time I get done with work today. Ideas?

Dominos. I wouldn't even feel bad about it with that kind of notice.

Dominos actually is a staple of the meeting. I actually volunteered to do it on short notice because I'm tired of Dominos. In doing so I kinda put myself in a bind.

Big pot of pasta.
Boil a few packs of hot dogs and just bring condiments.
Chili

Or do both the hot dogs and the chili.

Brown some ground beef with chopped onion and garlic
Drain fat
Add spices, tomato sauce, and water
Thicken with masa if you want
Simmer for 45-an hour.

You can either buy the chili kit or use your own spices. Chili kit is easy and you can add spices to taste. Just don't use beans

If Domino's is the bar I would goto chick fil a, and get some chicken off their catering menu.

Go to your favorite sports bar / wing joint and get a couple different flavors. Convenient, and nothing to clean up.

That would be Texas chili, which I do prefer, but takes much longer than the 2 hours he has.

Tell me, when you have a chili dog, do you request cubed meat only?

Tacos. You can brown a ton of meat in an hour, then everything else is store bought and people make their own

2 packs of 2 Alarm Chili kit, just brown an onion down with your ground meat.

Pick up a bag of cheese, crackers, hot dogs, buns fritos. Good relatively cheap meal that most people enjoy

You could probably make white bean chicken chili using canned white beans. I have a recipe in the TD cookbook which could be easily modified.

That sounds pretty good. I'll look it up. Thanks!
