Liked their double layer pizza. Always like Godfathers but haven't had it in years.
My favorite is just the regular pepperoni from Hidaway Pizza. Hideaway is just a small chain in OK.
Like Giordanos for the Chicago style pizza.

He’s right. Grimaldi’s is the best chain pizza

Of the national chains, absolutely

I always thought pizza hut was by far the best simply due to their pan pizza.
However, now that dominos offers a pan pizza (which I feel is actually superior to pizza huts), along with their better pricing, dominos is my #1. The 2 medium carry out special is a killer deal.

I had Dominos yesterday during the game for the first time in years and it was actually pretty good.
It was a supreme and it had a ton of flavor.
Was surprised.

Dominos has come a long way. Everyone needs to give it another shot.

Man, I tried their Brooklyn style with hearty marinara, Italian sausage and pepperoni, and it was pretty damn good
They had one of these too yesterday and it was delicious.
Dominos has stepped up their game.

I love Pizza Hut, but the one closest to me in Baton Rouge is filthy, and I just cannot order from there anymore.
So we usually get Papa John's - which is what the kids prefer anyway.
We had Domino's last Friday where I work, and it was really good. It was a special order, and the manager was friendly and helpful. So I'm not sure if that made it better.

Last time I ordered from that Pizza Hut two hours went by and I called and asked what was going on and they said "we ran out of dough". Well thanks for calling me and letting me know assholes. I've never ordered from there again. They must staff from former Popeyes and Burger King employees.

Same here. Really like their pan pizza though, and the Brooklyn cooked well done is pretty good too.

Friend,
Let us look a little more closely at these national chains of which you say, "Like 3/10 actual National chains the rest are at best regional."
1. Grimaldi's:
Locations range from New York to Florida to Nevada to Idaho to Kansas to Wisconsin to Alabama. When every geographic region of the Continental USA is represented, is it not national?
2. Anthony's Coal Fired:
Of all the ten listed, this one would be most fitting of a regional pizza chain, but its regions span the South, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, while also touching the Rust Belt. It would be fair to call this a multi-regional chain.
3. Blaze
Only a decade old, it has 350 plus locations in 40 states. It is indisputably a national chain.
4. California Pizza Kitchen
One poster suggested it is no longer operational. I do not know if that is the case or not, but in the last three years, it was operating in over 30 states. It also is a top 10 frozen pizza that is still available in grocery stores.
5. Jet's
Puts Little Caesars to shame, and its 500 plus locations in 22 states means it very much is a national chain.
6. Sbarro's
For decades, Sbarro's had the most authentic, and arguably, best Brooklyn style pizza in New Orleans. It is still better than Pizza Delicious. It is the 10th largest pizza chain in the world, and is rapidly expanding internationally. I am unaware of a single state that lacks a Sbarro.
7. Domino's
6000 locations in the US alone, it is the largest pizza chain in the world. It is also the best of the big three.
8. Sam's
Sam's serves pizzas in 44 states. For a large slice with a drink, it is under $3. Few know that you are only allowed one pizza combo per membership, but no one adheres to that rule.
9. Marco's
Ohio style pizza is rarely credited as a thing, but Marco's is an excellent national ambassador of this style, which is similar to New Orleans style. For those who remember Dino's Pizza, Marco's is very close. It has 1000 branches in nearly 40 states.
10. Chuck E. Cheese
There are over 500 Pasqually's Pizza in 47 states.
Again, the only possible regional pizzeria in my list is Anthony's Coal Fired. However, its locations in eight states ranging from Massachusetts to Florida could also be argued to make it a national chain.
Yours,
TulaneLSU
P.S. I warmly welcome other posters to list their top ten pizza chains. Nostalgia for Godfather's almost made it to the list (I tried the one by Lafreniere Park and the one by Don's Bowling in Kenner). But I sadly tried Godfather's again in both Mobile and just south of Montgomery. Both were not nearly as good as what I remember it being. There used to be a mini-Godfather's in the student dining area at Loyola University 15 years ago, which was terrible, but because it was not a full fledged Godfather's, I did not take it into consideration when rating Godfather's.
