There aren't really any pizzas in the BR area that stand out to me. Pizza Roma, Mama Della's, and Fleur de Lis are all OK, but only OK.

I never understand this statement on this board.

As far as toppings go, I prefer the combination of shrimp, bacon, and pineapple.

I've been to New York a lot, went again a little over a month ago, had some good pizza, and the simple fact of the matter is that there is good pizza here in BR. You can get good pizza anywhere.

Where?

The Margherita at Mama Della's is decent, and Omar at Pizza Roma in P-ville makes a passable pie, and I'll eat at Fleur de Lis once in a while simply because it's different. It's sad when quite possibly the best pizza in your city comes from Whole Foods.

Meh...if you are of the opinion that you can get "good pizza" in Baton Rouge, so be it.

I love me a pepperoni, onions, green peppers with jalapenos.

The Buffalo Chicken from Theos is pretty solid.

Thin crust, tomatoes, black olives, artichoke hearts. Luckily, I don't have to eat chain crap as there are several good local joints around me.

Amatriciana 15.95
Fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, onion, pancetta (imported Italian bacon), red hot chili pepper.
Can be enjoyed at gnocco in NYC.

I'm really simple with my pizza. Pepperoni with Italian sausage. But it has to be big crumbles or slices of sausage.

Haven't had a pizza from Papa John's in a while but I always paint the pizza with that garlic sauce. That stuff is so good.

Wish we had a Sbarro here.
