To answer a few questions from my recent visit:

It was $150 per person, I didn’t make the reservation so I’m not sure if there are other options.

Pretty sure it is just the sushi chef (Kaz) and the waiter/bartender/do everything else guy (Eli).

Their weren’t any rolls, everything was in the typical 2 pc. Sushi style, but they all seem to have specialized sauces, spices, treatments, etc.

That Black Sesame ice cream was incredible.

They are open 4 days a week and have two seatings at 6 and 8.

I'd like to do Nagomi for a special occasion dinner but if you are looking to expand the horizons then Daiwa can do that for you and your kid. Their menu offerings are really incredible and I'm sure you could sit at the sushi bar and the chef would take care of you with choice selections.

I am a Daiwa in Metairie fan. Their menu is insanely large, but they get so much quality fish. It really is very good.

Great point. Their Friday specials are amazing and unique as well.

Shogun is a great spot, and on your side of BR.

I'm confused.

Me too. I guess there is a Shogun in BR?

Everyone else is obviously referring to the one in Metairie on Vets.

I don’t know of one in BR. Maybe they just meant Metairie is closer to BR than NOLA? Lol.

His side of the city...yea, that’s definitely not how I wanted it to sound.

The BR side of the ‘city’. City, meaning everything from the Twin Span to the Bonnet Carre.

It's kind of amazing that they haven't posted anything on Facebook since March 2020. I thought they were gone pecans.

It is pretty amazing. They have no real signage. They don't advertise or promote themselves.

They are pretty high dollar for NOLA.

Yet they are continuously booked.

I can't find it anywhere, but I thought they'd officially announced they couldn't continue (like a year ago).

It's probably a horribly difficult time to try to snag a reservation right now.
