The florecents were on just as I said in my original post.

Also, your marked exit door at the front was locked. This is a serious fire code violation and a lawsuit waiting to happen. I saw several people attempt to exit but couldn't....better hope you never have a fire.

You would have a heart attack if you went downtown to the City Bar

From the fire code violations, or the sheer number of douchebags?

If any of y'all don't know zac & cari from gnarly barley, they will be at CBD tomorrow puttin up some wicked artwork! Saint Arnold will also be here in the evening doing some live painting, most likely Halston, their state rep. And their painter. Who is awesome!

Swing by and support some neighbor brewers.

Tread lightly in here my man. There is a very fine line on this site between advertising and answering folks questions....the former will get you the ban hammer.

Like 90% of bars/restaurants have only one door in/out. It isn't an issue anywhere else; why would that be the case here?
Looks like CBD has two doors in their building, so they locked one. This isn't uncommon.

Bars with more than one door often lock one if there is no ID guy over there because you're asking for underage people to sneak in.

Only one way in is no problem, but they all have two ways out.

Any door marked with an exit sign needs to be able to be pushed open during open hours. (No exit sign, doesn't matter) Most just use the panic hardware so it can be opened to leave in an emergency but will be locked from the outside.

And yeah, you still see it all the time where a business will have a marked door locked, it's definitely a violation though.

I'm sure they are... and it's quite likely one of those "fire exit only alarm will sound" doors.

Look around next time, you'll see a few exit signs.

(There are exceptions to the rule... but not many...)

So glad smoking is banned in all bars and restaurants here. I don't have to worry about it at all.

It was nice not worrying about it in NYC as well. Never got back to the hotel smelling like an ashtray, which would have sucked with heavy coats.

yeah this is what I didnt get with his whole "are there any special beers in the back". Made it seem like he thought there were things they werent giving out to the public. Its a place of business I am sure they want to sell all of their inventory.
