I've had a lot of great zin from Alexander Valley. I'll keep an eye out for that label. Thanks for the tip.

I listed at least 6 in the previous reply. They all make chardonnays that are well over the $40 price range.

actually none were in that price range. They were either under $20 or over $60, if they were in stock. I have to buy it over the web, and have them pick it up which somewhat limits the selection.

its ok though, as I did some googling and found something that was highly rated.

Tried Chakana Estate Collection Malbec 2010 this weekend and enjoyed it. Think it was $18 at IGA here in Covington. It was the first Malbec I've had (couldn't find the ones on your list). LA, you ever tried this one?

I'm not familiar with that one. I'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks for the tip.

I haven't had it in a few years, but I wasn't a huge fan. It's hard to find a good pinot noir for under $20. In fact, if I had expanded my list to, say, 20 wines there still wouldn't have been a pinot noir on it. I had some great pinot noirs in 2012, but all were in the $45-and-up price range.

Neauxla, I'm guessing Rouse's is local in Lousisiana so I can't speak to that particular store, but most, if not all, of the wines on this list are widely available.

I looked for them at Whole Foods the other day and didn't see any of them so I wasn't sure if I would have to go to a wine store or not.

Hmmm, I'm surprised. I could see 6, 9, 10, and 11 being possibly hard to find, but not the others. Good luck.
