No matter how much I crave one, I can never finish it. The olive spread is too much after about 7-10 bites.

I have never not finished one.
How is that even possible.

That would be like eating a 1/2 a shrimp.
And no I'm no fatty, 5'11 194 lbs.

i mean, a central muff will fill you up just eating 1/2 of it but thats a heckuva lot more than just 7-10 bites.

who the hell takes 7 bites of a muffaletta and stops?

I don’t have that problem.

I order a muff thinking I’ll save half for later...

Never have .

Do you actually call it a "muffuletta sandwich" instead of a muffuletta?

The Rouses by my house makes them in slider sizes. They aren’t bad. I eat them for a snack.

Yeah, that’s the weirdest part of this thread.

You're gonna have to take bigger bites.

Had one recently at Liuzza's on Bienville and it was excellent. They cut that thing in 6 pieces and I did good to finish 4----along with 2 of their frozen fishbowl beer mugs of Abita Amber.

I probably could have forced the other 2 pieces down, but I just had to take a couple pieces home to the Mrs. so she could enjoy some of it when she got off work.

one of the best memories i will ever have is when i as at LSU in the late 1980s my dad (bellsouth employee his whole life) had to go to New Orleans for some training and my gf at the time (from chalmette..come at me) drove me to central early sunday morning, then to pick up my dad at the hotel he was at and then dropped us off at the superdome for the Saints game.

We lived in Monroe and my dad loved the saints like nobody's business but he had never seen a game so i surprised him and had the muff inside my dress shirt against my back to sneak it in and after the 1st quarter i whipped it out and we tore that puppy up.

still have the game ticket. central will always have a special place in my heart because of this.
