Hey everyone what's on the menu for mothers day? That is if you plan on cooking something for mom. I'm going to make bacon wrapped shrimp bacon wrapped jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese grilled corn on the cob baked potato and grilled tuna steaks.

Well, it's just me and the wife now as the kids are grown and out the house and living out of state. I'm going to grill a couple nice steaks with some vegetables on the grill and have a nice bottle of wine to go with it and celebrate Mother's Day.

Threw a brisket on the smoker an hour ago. Should be ready for mother’s day lunch tomorrow.

Had ours last night- cream cheese stuffed chicken breasts wrapped in bacon, twice stuffed potatoes, marinated vegetables (green beans, mushrooms, artichoke hearts), and fresh picked strawberries and homemade whipped cream with crumbled pie crust for dessert.

Pulled a 12 lb brisket earlier after a 10 hour cook. Separated into lean and fatty slices, as well as, chopped and burnt ends.

Used left over crawfish tails from last night’s boil to make Etoufee for lunch. Steak for supper.
