The guy that works on his violins fixes my guitars...think I've hung around him 2 or 3 times. Nice guy for sure.

In Venezuela they make a condiment out of ants. Don't remember what it's called, but it's popular. It's fiery because of the acid the ant uses to sting. I spread some on some crackers, didn't really like it all that much.

Which begs the question - what is the weirdest food that inspired you to go back for seconds?

I had hot dog flavored potato chips one time. You could even taste the mustard on the hot dog.

i definately dont recall my balut being as ripe as the one depicted, but it was still pretty damn hard for me to take teh dive and eat it... the first time i tried it, i was only 16 or so. i was frightened to be honest, but my mom said... "you want to travel the world? what will you eat when this is all thats on the table?" so i took the bait. it wasnt as bad as it looked!

sitting at a bar once drinking a gin & tonic, thought i was crunching on a small piece of ice, but it was too soft so i spit it out. it was 1/2 of a fly. i guess i ate the other half.

1) boogers. Favorite snack as child.

2) eel livers.

3) pig heart, pig tongue, barely seared, damn near raw.

Rattlesnake. Tastes like chicken!

(Actually tastes like a cross between chicken and fish, sort of like alligator.)
