I'll say Lucky Dog as I would not in a million years get it there unless I was stoned out of my mind and had no faculties but it seems to be popular nontheless.

You know, I was down in the quarter one weekend last summer. I was just a little buzzed, but that Lucky Dog was honestly really really good. Not GOAT, but a solid hot dog.

Yea, they're really not bad at all. The big stigma is being on Bourbon to get one usually

Growing up here, a long time ago, hitting the FQ, memories are bad.

This. My favorite jazzfest foods are the crabmeat po'boy (basically a stuffed crab filling plopped on a french roll), the seafood stuffed mushrooms, and the gator po'boy.

Yeah, not digestable. Blah

I only like homemade dogs or form Carrollton Boosters Baseball field concession. That's a breakfast of champions with plenty of mustard.

All I ate this year was jamaican fish with veg and no rice.

Oh and snowballs spiked with smuggled vodka.

Homemade hot dogs would be work but interesting to try.

Sorry, I meant just making them at home with something like Nathan's. Not so much the ones with the red ink.

Hotdog man in Shreveport shits all over lucky dogs. They're nothing special, just easy drunk food.

Like a hot crab filling? Or a cold chicken salad esq thing? Either way, sounds fire. Crab is my favorite seafood.

ETA - I see you said it was stuffed crab filling. YUM.

Like a hot stuffed crab (real crabmeat, onions, bell pepper, mushrooms, bread crumbs, and spices baked or fried and then spread on a po'boy. Great with a little remoulade or ketchup.

I would hope that would be the worst outcome.

crawfish bread was not good this year. too much bread, not enough cheese. I dont want to eat what amounts to pizza crust. Give me more of the good shite

i had crawfish monica for the first time this year. Always passed because i just felt it wouldnt sit well with the heat. I thought it was pretty good. It wasnt bland(had a nice peppery kick to it), and it went down pretty easy.

Is this recipe the one more in line with the Crawfish bread I tried describing? Where the bread is almost like a pastry? I remember being able to buy spinach and artichoke stuffed in that pastry type bread as well. So good!

I got hammered during Sturgil and thought eating sauce piquant in 80 degree weather was a good idea

But in fairness the piquant was solid

A lot of the food there isn't the type that is best eating in sweltering heat while your brain is being fried by UV, booze, and extras.

I really wanted to get some pheasant gumbo and the trout baquet but I was hammered and couldn't muster the motivation to leave my cooler.

I don’t care how hot it is, I always have to get a bowl of the Prejeans gumbo on my first day out
