I love when companies publicly go toe to toe. It's unfortunate that they're all not as savage as Wendy's twitter girl.

A case of the pot & the kettle. Miller uses corn as an adjunct (as does Coors) but Bud uses rice. Personally, if I was going to drink either one (which I'm not), I'd rather corn than rice.

Why does Bud Light think so many of their drinkers give a shite about corn syrup?

I've not once heard someone say they drink Bud Light because they don't use corn syrup.

They are just trying to appeal to everyone.

Whiny/tranny/millenials need a beer to drink to, might as well be bud light.

Ill stick to Miller.

These are funny, but Miller always acting like their beer tastes better than another shitty water beer is still hilarious.

Oh sorry, they never say it tastes better. Just "more taste." You can taste the shittiness more I guess.

It's like a slap fight between the two weakest kids in class: it doesn't matter who wins, they both lose.

Hilarious given that Breckinridge is owned by AB InBev

I always thought this back when I basically only drank natty or bud light. Once I started drinking craft I swung toward miller for my regular light beer. I have seen others do the same. It’s odd as we will down ultras but bud light just seems off now.

Yeah Miller should go after budlight for putting tree bark and rice into their beer. I’ve never been a fan of the beechwood flavor in budlight.

Beechwood is not a flavoring agent. They use it to minimize the contact time of the beer with the yeast. It speeds up the lagering time.

Yeah, those were obviously done prior to the InBev acquisition.

My main gripe about Bud is the green apple flavor their yeast produces. That would be considered a pretty major flaw in most beers. And the beechwood thing just makes it worse by removing the yeast before they can clean up the acetaldehyde.

When I was A kid it was always “other brands” and like Coke would have a blue soda with no name on it.

Now it’s just like “frick Pepsi”

They really should both just stick to making funny ads that have nothing to do with beer. It's pointless to make the ads about the taste or ingredients of their beer. Their beer drinkers do not care about the ingredients and that won't change their opinion.

Right. Does anyone drink beer for health reasons?

I guess the strategy is to be rediculous as possible to get people, like us on a message board, to talk about it
