El Limon is supposed to have legit tacos but I’ve never been there.

I’ve only ever bought tortillas from there when they used to have a sign up that said they sold tortillas

Tortillas were ok - but they were packaged - I was hoping they had made them themselves

Maybe it’s changed

It's been a couple of years since I've been but it was legit. At the time, they only took cash and the menus were only in spanish.

If it's El Limon, they've been there AT LEAST since 2011, because I used to hit them for lengua tacos based on the recs of this board when I lived in that area, and I moved to Atlanta in 2012.

Put a craving on me. Had a lengua, carnitas and barbacoa taco there today. Salsa still good but the tacos were under seasoned. Their red and green sauces are still top notch tho.

Good not great tacos, get lengua or pastor. No table salsa and chips.

Very good green verde sauce on the enchiladas and grilled chicken plate. And solid Asada platter.

Has Mexico City Litres of Coke, Pepsi, Fanta. A lil' different from the border town bottlers. Sweeter says the owner, I tend to agree.

Hardworking guy and his wife in the kitchen. I've frequented El Limon for years when in the area. But, the Honduran ladies truck at the gas station near Calloways, make better tacos. And Alicia's down the street makes better pupusas than the Honduran truck ladies.

I go there occasionally but do not know what to order. I don't speak Spanish. I usually just point to a picture on the menu and order a few extra beef tacos. I have no idea what lengua or pastor is. Is it different than beef?

I remember this place being mentioned in the past, and there was a poster (Degas, I think?) who was a big fan. I only went once, In the evening, and the tacos I received had meat that appeared to have been pre-cooked and sitting around, not freshly prepared. I was willing to give them another shot but nowadays my go-to is Taqueria Don Beto on Airline.
