Afternoon Everyone,

Hadn't thought about Mandina's in a long time, so I went to see what their stuff costs these days, and naturally, their menu doesn't have any prices.

But...if you click on Order For Delivery, they have to reveal some kind of price.

Is this $44 for an oyster po-boy by itself, separate from the Waitr/tip charges, or is that all-inclusive??

Never have used Waitr before, so I have no idea...

If you hit the review order button it should be more clearly labelled. But I think that is pre-tax, fees, or tip.

That’s for a whole loaf…. So it’s an entire loaf of French bread

I don't think so. I've eaten there before, and that's just their cute little way of saying it's a whole oyster po-boy.

If that were a whole loaf of French bread, it would be $80, no doubt.

Nah, they are one of the few places that actually will sell a WHOLE LOAF. That's what that is.

Yeah 4-6 sandwiches for the price isn't bad.

But there's no way I'd leave an oyster poboy in the hands of Waitr.

I was wondering what you were talking about them not having prices online because they used to always have a PDF of their menu on their site, with prices and all.

I went on and see they indeed don't now. That's such a peeve of mine. I guess places can't keep up with inflation any more.

I figure this type of thing can be deemed a "Galley Move".

Waitr fees are absolutely insane. I downloaded the app and it was off my phone about 10 minutes after reviewing their costs.

Is Mandina’s legit food? We are staying walking distance to it in a few weeks. What else is good in that area? I’ve been to Juan’s Flying Burrito before, so will probably skip it. Good pizza place in that area?

I’m still pissed at them for closing the BR restaurant after Katrina. Kicked arse here too.

I love mandinas, it’s a laid back neighborhood joint with some Italian and Louisiana staples that they do well.
