Vita-mix. Pay the money, it’s the best.

I love my Ninja blender. Been having it and using it often for 7-8 years. I think it was $40. I use it for smoothies and frozen drinks with no complaints (other than the handle starting to crack.....but it’s probably been used 1000x).

If you get one with a high RPM it produces a nice suction. Just don’t make the mistake of putting it in too deep. I learned the hard way.

I have the Ninja professional one. Like $120. My wife used it to make smoothies but I’ve never used it. I just use my food processor for most things.

Breville The Hemisphere

I bought this a few years back based on reviews, and it's a beast. Every time I think I want to drop the coin on a vitamix, I run this machine and realize how unnecessary it is. While VM is superior, I can't justify spending nearly twice the price when this does everything I need in an efficient and high quality way.

ETA: my sister has a Ninja. While it performs well, I hate that the blade rises the entire depth of the canister. It's a safety risk along with a difficulty to get in with a tool and scrape around when needed. For the price though it's tough to beat.

Vita-Prep

Can make sawdust out of 2 x 4's, turns limestone rocks into dust.
