Way back in the day when Mom would fry chicken, she would often slip the heart, liver, and/or gizzard to me. If I were her I’d have kept them as cook’s treat!
I miss Popeye’s fried chicken livers.
Chicken livers with pomegranate syrup is a tasty and easy dish.

Mother used to cook Petit Poi’s with it. Delicious.

Always avoided them due to my dislike of beef liver.
Had the Mahoney's chicken liver poboy and it changed my world. Now I can't eat enough chicken liver. The Popeyes on Vets (or Williams) still had chicken livers when I went last year I think. Crazy that it's the most calorie dense thing on their menu. Don't know why I looked that up.

Have had them Peruvian style, sliced fairly thin and cooked on skewers over an open fire with the special marinade they use and they were fantastic. One of my favorite things I've had abroad.

I'm going to try this with venison liver.
I enjoy all types of liver. hearts and gizzards. Rabbit liver is really good. The only place I've seen them is the market in St. Francisville.

They are good that way. Takes some whittling to cut up a heart, but it has a good flavor.

Love liver and onions.
Don’t trust myself cooking it.
Love chicken livers also. I’ve cooked them in the oven with olive oil, salt, pepper, and a little butter.
So simple and so good. I like as a side dish or appetizer
