Have heard a lot of great things about this place. Is it worth the drive?

We did the Sunday brunch a few weeks back and it was really good, especially for $16.

Make a day of it. Pop's poboys for lunch, Parish and Bayou Teche for beers, LBC for supper

One of my favorite places. The food is really good, not award winning great. We just find the place a lot of fun for an evening dinner event, and drive about 70 miles to get there. I would suggest you call ahead, make reservations and ask for the lower table by the bayou or at least try and get a table on the outside deck.

Sure. During good weather, ask to sit outside.

Could just do brunch at Little Big Cup, Beers at Bayou Teche, and dinner at Cafe Josephine.

...and pick up some boudin from Janise's in Sunset. Vastly underrated, it's one of the best links.

I wouldn't go from Arnaudville to Sunset for dinner.

LBC then Teche would be a fun day.

Been twice and was underwhelmed both times. First time was a big group and nobody really cared for it. Cold fried food and heavy cream based menu items. Buffet was crap service was just as bad.
Second time was just 2 and the atmosphere outside was great, drinks were weak and food was subpar again. not worth the 2hr drive.

Or if you want to stay, LA31 now has a cabin for rent right next to the brewery.

I am biased because my hometown is Arnaudville, but LBC is awesome. LA31's pizza and overall atmosphere is amazing as well. One of the only local breweries I've been to that always has a sizable crowd. Probably because there's not much else to do around Arnaudville.

Why not? If you're with the wife, you could stop in Grand Coteau on the way for some shopping. Go to The Kitchen Shop and get some candy / cookies / pies, check out the antiques place and the other shops. If you're driving all the way from Metairie, might as well see more than two things.

Yeah, I don’t get that. Cafe Josephine is legit, and it’s closer than going into Lafayette.

Bayou Teche also has some pretty solid pizzas that are like $12 or so. If you're looking to cut out an additional stop you could do brunch at Little Big Cup, then beers and a late afternoon pizza at Bayou Teche.
