Again thanks to this group for this recommendation. Drinking a little Eagle Rare too. Not a bad start for the weekend.

Now that it’s not raining for an evening finally … got a big ol’ rocky Patel #6 lit up. Feeling like Churchill with this big bastard burning up as I sit outside with a breeze blowing

I have not tried it yet. Just got them about 2 weeks ago and I like to let them sit in the humidor a month or two before smoking

CH does some great sticks, and this LE I picked up earlier in the year is exceptional.

Toros are probably the most consistent for solid flavor. 6x50. Belicosos and torpedoes are just a different shape. Could be the length of a robusto.

Dude I love and respect wood working skills. Looks great.

Despite being bestowed many varied talents, I am a wood working imbecile. But I keep trying.
And producing monstrosities.

Actually just finished everything tonight. Just need to do final sanding and then put on the polyurethane. My first humidor, but definitely plan to do more. Honestly with woodworking, it's the right tools, patience, and you tube providing me with the know how to do certain things. Several things on this project were my first time doing it. There are minor flaws I think I can weed out for next time.

May have been discussed somewhere in this thread, but anyone have good ideas for ~$60 gifts for cigar enthusiasts? Besides cigars. Obviously there are nice ashtrays, cutters, and lighters. But I know I personally might like a specific cutter or lighter, but not sure if it's a good gift option. Especially when the wife isn't so on board with giving her dad a single lighter for Christmas . She doesn't get it, but its her dad.... Was going to give this to him, but he has enough smaller humidors and wants a larger cabinet style one. This will go to her brother.

I’m curious what cigar sizes y’all prefer?

For the longest time, from inception around 2005 to within recently I kinda preferred big ring 50 and moderate length but recently I’m liking Churchill size more length and smaller ring size.

Celebratory smoke for the last work Friday of the year. Paired this with some High West Midsummer Dram a buddy was able to snag for me. It gets better with every sip.
Happy Friday gents.

Settling in for a cold beer and good smoke. Broke out a Cuban Romeo Y Julieta Desde 1875. These cigars have mellowed quite a bit after aging for nearly 9 months. Quite enjoy then now. Watching the prime rib Smoke for dinner later. Merry Christmas gentlemen.

Has anyone in Louisiana been to Whiskey and Ashe in Slidell? I'm coming in next weekend and want a place to meet between Covington and Diamondhead to meet my old man for a smoke.

If that's the place in Olde Town, I was there during a Slidell parade. Picked up some cigars from their humidor and they were fresh. I've also been to this place in Covington, with a few long timer's and barber shop chairs. Bunch of old guys taking and smoking with not much else going on. If you're looking for a swankier place, believe it or not, the place in Slidell is your go to.

This has become my favorite cigar in my stash.
