I have a buddy way down the bayou that never uses anything in his humidor because the humidity in his home is always high. Where are you located?

Also I went on a cigar tour in the DR recently and none of the major manufacturers use any sort of humidifying agent.

Or all your cigars moldy? Any way to introduce some air movement?

Is it possible your humidor doesn’t have a good seal? You’re getting excess moisture from somewhere.

I was finally able to find some Drew Estate Undercrown from the other BM shop. One of my favorites. Breaking out the fire pit and enjoying a beautiful Texas night.

Happy Friday gents!

I know this isn’t a cigar. But I’ve been rolling my own cigarettes with an activated charcoal filter. High quality rolling tobacco in a hand rolled classic Raw paper on a brisk fall evening on your back patio is a supreme experience. I gave up nicotine cold turkey for 60 days. You forget what drugs actually feel like when it just becomes another thing in life you abuse when you shouldn’t.

Same is true for caffeine and sugar. Give up caffeine and all processed sugar for a month then eat a muffin and drink a cup of coffee one morning and it’s a surreal experience. Follow that up with pinch of grizzly wintergreen and you have euphoric heaven on earth.

These things should be experiences you enjoy every once in a while instead of part of every day life.

My current favorite cigar:

i like a good cigar occasionally. I don’t keep any around but will go to cigar shop and buy a couple if I think about it. A friend of mine has started smoking a pipe occasionally and says it’s easier to keep a pouch around and fresh.

Any of you guys smoke pipes?

My buddy does and enjoys it. I’m considering getting one at some point for a nice change up.

Meanwhile I’m enjoying the weather and scenery. I love the chilly temps.

I love mine. Different flavors and experience from a cigar but I have a pipe that accept activated charcoal filters and I prefer that to raw unfiltered tobacco for my own piece of mind.

But I also have a humidor and love cigars too much to give them up forever

Don’t know how I’ve missed this thread…. But without having to go through 80 pages…

I need a new humidor. Any recs? Im thinking probably one that holds up to 50. I don’t want anything too crazy, because I’m assuming I won’t have more than maybe 10-15 at a time. I have one, but it’s was a gift from my dad that I’ve had for years. It doesn’t hold very well and I’ve got back into them recently since some of my buddy’s are getting into them as well. I’d prefer to be able to store a few instead of hitting the store on the way to the golf course or a buddy’s house.

I failed with my humidor, so I switched to tupperware containers after recommendations from some here in this thread. I haven't looked back.

These are the ones I bought. Pair them with some bovedas and you're good to go

That's what I have as well. Holds 20-25. Sistema makes bigger containers.

Sistema containers with the blue gasket and Rubbermaid brilliance containers. With a piece or sheet of cedar wood and a Boveda pack. You’re good to go.

FYI, I got this in my email this morning.
