It's been too cold!
Lit up a factory smokes maduro the other night just to see if I could tolerate the cold. Spoiler: I couldn't.

Going to probably light one up tomorrow afternoon when the sun comes out.

Also tried, too cold.

10 pack of Montecristo Espadas just came in the mail, probably will let them rest in my humidor for a while before trying. Pretty sure they had a rough trip.

My cigars are in transit limbo right now. Ordered them Friday and the tracking is unavailable.

It is too damn cold for sure. I have often used my garage as a place of last refuge to smoke, but even there, it's unbearable, and not to mention full of every tropical and cold intolerant plant we own.

On a side note, anyone having humidity issues in their humidor due to longer heater run times? My humidity readings have dropped the last few days event with an ambient home temp of 60º daytime and 58º nighttime (I like a colder temp in the house).

I'm no cigar guru but I am trying to dabble more and more. In my short time, while cheaper, a good Acid Blondie is hard to beat for a sweet smoke. I've also had a Rocky Patel 1875 which was good as well. Also a fan of Romeo & Juliete. Maybe because I'm a newbie, but I haven't experienced a bad smoke yet. A cigar and a glass of Four Roses or Buffalo Trace is hard to beat.

Acid Blondie

These are great. I like a sweet smoke on occasion, but I have been keeping Tatiana Groovy Blue on hand rather than Acid. They are a little cheaper, and the wife and I think they taste just as good. She only smokes the sweet stuff, so we buy by the 20 pack.

As for the cold, I love it. I kick on the fireplace outside or light up some logs in the firepit, and we sit by the fire all layered up with a cigar and whiskey. We did this both Saturday and Tuesday night, and it was a nice time.

Sweet, I'll check those out! Thanks! I was offered a Padron 1926 this past weekend by an older gentleman but I didn't want to smoke such a high $$$ cigar with a limited knowledge or palate.

Huge mistake!! If offered again, DO NOT pass and use it as a guide to help figure in which direction you take your smoking preference.

Dude that will open your palate. I recently got into cigars strictly due to my buddy busting out some Oliva Vs for a birthday gathering a few months ago. I used to smoke cigars years back with my friend, but back then my palate was undeveloped. That Oliva made me realize how fantastic these things can be, especially when paired with food, whiskey or some other flavor treat.

Get the good stuff. I bought a Padron 64 back in January as my first purchase, and I have been opened up to a new world of pleasure. The cheaper stuff is good too for more regular smokes, so you want to try different ones.

I bought some sampler packs from Famous Smoke Shop, and they have allowed me to find what I like and dislike. I love the Romeo Y Juliete Reserva Real, and I discovered this out of one of these packs. I highly recommend this route

Again, too cold for my arse to sit outside to smoke a cigar. Tomorrow the temps cooperate and will be smoking a La Corona de Cuba Edition Especial. Looking forward to it as its been sitting in my humidor for three weeks, now!

Went to Habana Port today a d picked up a couple Perdomos. Got my 64 and another regular Perdomo Maduro, in hopes that I love their cheaper sticks as much as the 64. Probably smoke one tomorrow.
My shipment also made it in yesterday. Got to let them rest for awhile in the humidor.

Had an Undercrown Connecticut Shade with my morning coffee.

Just had a Tabernacle Doble Corona after dinner with a glass of Johnnie Walker Double Black. Feelin good.

Is Caesar meant to stop the burn to take a break and re-light later? Or does it breathe enough through the nose to stay lit?
