My first Scotch/Cigar pairing. I went with the Highland Park 12 year and Arturo Fuente Don Carlos. I wanted a milder experience on both sides. I'll be trying them out tonight. What's everyone's opinion on this, how'd I do?

Haven't had any of the AFs yet, but that HP12 is a good scotch for the price. I've heard good things about the AFs though. Welcome to the board by the way

I have been smoking AF's for many years. The 8-5-8 is my go to always have cigar. Both the natural and maduro are good. I like the chat puente and the robustas, as well. The Hemingway line are excellent and on the pricier side.

I smoke the AF 8-5-8, Don Carlos & Casa Cuba on a normal rotation. The 8-5-8’s IMO are one of the most consistent cigars on the market.

A co-worker bought me a Casa Fuente from his trip to Vegas a month ago. I might go ahead and smoke it, since AF are shipping them everywhere this year, since they couldn’t put the pinks out.

I'm a fan of the 8-5-8 Claros. Very mild and the green wrapped provides a good contrast to my other stuff in the humidor.

If I know I'm gonna have time for a 2 or 3 cigar day, I like to start with these. Always consistent, mild and a good start to the day.

Also, fun to share with people who don't smoke much because they taste good and have a unique look.

I had totally forgotten about the claros and has been years since I smoked one. Leave it to this board to remind you of smokes from days gone by, or introduce you to new one's.

Have a Good morning fella's!

Today's little jewel is a My Father's Vegas Cubanas by Don Pepin Garcia. Very nice little number.

Man I do want to get me some Davidoff, but I have a difficult time pulling the trigger on that price point with my shitty arse humidor that can't hold above 62

Yes they belong on this board. Cigars are closely enough associated with pre and post dinner cocktail hour.
