Just had some new boxes of Plasencia come in: 151 and Reserva.
Did you get these on ihavana.com sale? I grabbed the 151 and Alma de Campo for a total of $200 back in their May sale. Can’t beat that price! I’m letting mine sit for a few months before cracking, but yeah it’s a challenge to wait
Meanwhile I’m having what is now my favorite Connecticut cigar for breakfast this shockingly cool August morning: Southern Draw Rose of Sharon Perfecto. I’ve tried all of their vitolas in this, and this one is the best. I can’t recommend this one enough.

Negative. Cigarpage. Their sales are ridiculous when you catch them.
I also broke down and smoked a Reserva today. I enjoyed it. Had some interesting notes that I hadn't gotten before from other similar cigars.

Will follow this going forward. iHavanas also can do some deep sales cuts. Every month they change up their sales, some good and others very good. Check them out.

This is where i get all my cigars.
Smoked a Liga Privada No. 9 Saturday night. Might be one of my new favorite cigars.

Got the email of a singles sale, and I jumped on it. Got 12 different sticks, including 3 in the $15 range, for a total of $109 including my tax. Yeah, nice deal. Glad to know of this site; I'll be buying from them in the future.

Cigarpage is pretty good. They had PB97’s a couple of weeks ago. My only complaint is they should make these first available to their large customers. As it works out the people that get rewarded are the people who have time to watch Discord all day. When the PB97’s became available they were gone by the time I noticed. I did manage to get a bunch of both 1926, 1964 and X000 series though.
I’m not a huge Padron guy, but I like to keep 20-30 on hand for a change.
I personally think there are better values.
My two most recent pick ups of note are My Father Blue Honduras and Garcia Series JJ 20th Anniversary Limited Edition (2500 total boxes).
The Honduras Blue I let settle a bit and smoked. It was surprisingly good. The JJ’s need to settle a bit longer based on the one I smoked.

Just had an issue with cigarpage. I tried buying a box and some singles last night with a visa giftcard, and the transaction failed. My funds were removed from the card, but the order never processed. I did a chat with them today, and they said it's due to address issues with the card. They said it is stuck in pending stage and should refund back to my card in 2-3 business days.
Apparently this is a thing with these visa GCs. I've never really used them before, so this is a bit frustrating. I don't blame CP for it; it's just the way the system works. I'm hoping to get it resolved and able to properly process it again. We shall see.
As far as Padron goes, I fully agree. Great sticks but not at MSRP. If you want to get your hands on something exceptional, I highly recommend the Leaf by Oscar Broadleaf LE 2025. I had one recently, and it was an absolute gem. Decided to grab me a box of 20 for $320. I liked it better than the Padron 45yr and PB97, and it's half the cost. It was a chocolate bomb with a ton of complexity (baking spices, cola, dark fruit, and herbal).

Going to jump in. This thread is low traffic, and I'm looking for a goup to stay on top of new and old things to try

Man, as much as I love branching out and trying new cigars, I just ending up coming back to these so much. They are just so damn consistently good

A few recents
La Flor Dominicana Reserva Especial - wonderful. was under $10 for a robusto at Don Juan.
Drew Estate Liga Privada Unico Papas fritas - found it drying out behind some coffee mugs (years old), lit it up and it was awesome. Bought another one and it was awesome again. Smokes about 40 minutes or so.
Oliva Serie V - wasn't as good as I though it'd be, it was a perfecto. I'd go for a bigger profile next time.
Arturo Fuente Flor Fina 8-5-8, excellent for price point. Nice smoke volume and very stable for the hour that it smoked.
On deck I have a RJ Nicaragua toro. Will probably save it for the next cool evening

Smoking a Drew Estate Undercrown and it's slowly becoming one of my favorites.
Headed to BR next weekend and I'm going to try to stock up on some Bocockbrothers. Those have been my go to, but I can't seem to find them in the DFW area.

Southern draw Cedrus (and herbal bomb!) for me today during the saints game. Didn’t grab a pic though.
