Went to a boil fri night and I just dont get it.. I saw these two guys squeeze at least 5 lemons per batch.
Werent very spicy but they were damn lemoney!
Wanna ruin a good batch of boiled crawfish, go ahead and add a bunch of lemons.

IMO they are for washing your hands.

I've put lemons in my boil for the last thirty years. I can't remember seeing a boil without them.

5 lemons would only be a lot if you were boiling in like a 1 gallon pot.

Please go ahead and make this into a 10 page back and forth bitch fest like you do on the other boards. I am bored and would love to be entertained.

we just had a crawfish boil today and my dad put about 8 lemons in it.

doesn't make it taste very lemony and i don't ever remember him not using lemons.

The key is too put the lemons inside the pot but outside of the basket...you don't want a lemon rubbing all over the boiled crawfish.

bc it will taste like a lemon head candy crawfish.

gees people its not that difficult of a point.
Lemons serve no purpose, people do it b/c theyve seen others do it.

How many times have you said about boiled crawfish???,,, wow, they sure were good, but damnit coulda used more lemons.

Answer.... never.
