Good morning,

I'm not gonna be able to get my BB in the crock pot til @noon. I'm wanting to eat @ 6pm. Is that to late, or can I cook it on high for the first 3hrs then med/low for the last 3 hrs?
Thx in adv!

Why not do it in a dutch oven?

ETA: I suggest that because it would be more than enough time in one.

Put it in a pot, cover it with water and put it to boil. Add about 4 chopped onion and a bell pepper. In 4 hours it will be falling apart with a nice gravy. Or bake it in one of them brag and browns.

I agree with Dutch Oven. Set oven temperature around 250. It will be falling off the bone before 6:00.

Cook it at 300 covered. It'll be super tender in 3-4 hours.

What?? Is this legit? If so, what seasonings do you use? Do you brown the butt first?

Yup,

Salt, pepper, granulated garlic, parsley, tonys....

You don't need to brown it but it helps. If I have time I do it. Boston Butt is cheap, try it out, if you don't like it you only out $15

Check out the Donald Link recipe for roasted pork. Dutch oven, onions 3 hrs in oven at 275. It's in the recipe book.
