Used to have a farmer's market on Foreman Drive about 2 blocks behind Lafayette High behind "Corner Pantry". I forget which days of the week they were there though. Maybe Tues and Thurs?

other burgers would be Max's Pool Hall, Fat Pat's, Burgersmith, Judice Inn

forgot to ask... what is your favorite nursery for those of you who do your own gardens? Im going to start with herbs that I can grow in pots.
The landlord said no one uses a strip of land and he will check with the other tenant to make sure they dont mind. So, for now... I dont have permission to plant in the ground.

i purposefully chose to rent a place that will be in walking distance from here.

I am just unaware if it is still active. I was in the area about 4 months ago and the tables are still there and look to be still kept up. Seems like if it were abandoned, they would look that way. I would assume it is still active.

For the best jumbo lump crabmeat I've ever bought, go to Chez Francois on Evangeline Thruway right at the RR tracks not far from I-10.
Best to bring your Uzi sub-machine gun when in that area. Since you're gonna be armed, stop at Little Alberts Fried Chicken and/or Momma's Fried Yard Bird.

there is a fine nursery on johnston and holden that seems very in tune with the seasons.
Rous' on Bertrand was originally scheduled for an August opening but it looks like it will beat that mark.
I second Max's pool hall for a burger.
Try the French Press since you are in that area

Are you serious? I've been going there for years and years and years and know a lot of other people who go there, as well. Not a single problem. Never even saw any suspicious folks hanging around there. Only people there or in the parking lot are customers and people who work there. It's a pretty busy area with all the traffic on the Evangeline Thruway.
