It's 12:49. If I could, I'd be munching on a chicken kebab at Cedar Deli.

Sorry, just reading this thread again and I'm hungry.

...and in trying to think of what else is in your area, I remember having a good burger at Rival's across from Bordens on Johnston. They serve it on ciabatta bread which is the highlight of the burger. It's a local sports bar and the owner loves his boxing, so boxing nights are crowded there. One of the setbacks is that intersection seems to be under perpetual construction.

I second GG's mentioning of Don's (downtown of course) seafood gumbo. Another word of mouth secret is that happy hour (in the bar area only) features drinks that are two for one AND all apps are half price. Cliff the 40+ year veteran will probably bring you some hushpuppies for free as well. Get the Seafood Bouquet for $10. You just can't beat bacon wrapped oysters and shrimp with 2 fer 1 drinks.

Right on, right on.

True story. On my way back from Austin this weekend I stopped in Sulphur to get gas and watched a brand new bentley roll into the microtel. Not sure why, but that struck me as funny.

Well, dayum, when you make changes, you make 'em big. Look at it as exciting rather than scary. You're going to be fine and a lot of it is going to be fun.

You're very organized. I might be having some anxiety with all of that going on.

And, some cocktails.
