King Cake shipping?

A buddy of mine on the east coast just got diagnosed with cancer. Current outlook is good so far, but still awaiting testing. He and his wife are Louisiana transplants, I want to ship a king cake to lift the spirits.
Whaddya got? Randazzo's is sold out. Haydel's looks promising. Is shipping a king cake even reasonable, or will it be a disaster? Maybe I should send over a new TV or something.

While not as good, try Nonna. They have cakes available to ship.

For shipping I always suggest Haydels. People(friends/customers) that I send them to really like the beads, cups, doubloons, Mardi Gras history(or maybe a little magazine). I can't remember what all is in it. They may even still do the little bag of coffee as well.

Calandro’s makes a good king cake and they’re easy to get. They don’t ship directly, but have a deal with a business that does. Got one last year for my half-sister in Austin.

I always use Haydels. Have never had a problem, and my customers love the cakes.

Have used Haydel’s and Tartine. Never had issues with either. Haydel’s sends a little lagniappe with their cakes, beads, doubloons, etc.

I don't care about the cheap beads and doubloons.
Get a king cake. Preferably one that comes both wrapped and in a box. Go to Office Depot. Get a box. Put king cake in box. Add a few shipping peanuts.
Ship with a 2 day delivery.
I do this all the time. Arrives super fresh. Cheaper than having the bakery ship and some bakeries are already out of shipping dates for this year.
