So, someone on this board recommended Ki Mexico in Shreveport. We went there Sunday at noon. We were told it would be crowded but I intended to ask the hostess about the time.

As I approached the lobby I could see the hostess screaming at the customers in front of us. They were screaming back at her. They were only about 12 inches apart but they couldn't hear each other because of the live band playing so loud that conversation was impossible.

We left. Next time I'll call the day before to find out the band schedule and avoid it.

Damn, I thought that story was going in a different direction.

Hey, maybe young people don't converse in a restaurant any more. Maybe they just stay on their smartphones. But Copeland's in Shreveport had a live band on Sunday lunch last year. It was dropped because they lost business.

I'll agree with you in that I do try to avoid it when a band is playing

And if there is a band playing, we either sit outside or in the main dining area on the opposite side of the restaurant

It does get loud in there with a band playing, especially since the order counter is right there

I think they normally only have a band playing on Sunday though and sometimes on Saturday night

I think they leave a few of the tacos off the Sunday menu as well.

Well, I can't go there any day except Sunday because that's when my son is off.
BTW, Copeland's is going down hill. That was our alternative and the Caesar Salad with grilled chicken was more like Caesar Salad with Chicken Salad. They weren't actually strips of grilled chicken. It was chopped up.

That's why I asked! I wondered if she ever went to restaurants which serve cheese.

Nope. I went with a couple of my girl friends. But don't tell Lucy. She doesn't know I'm having affairs.
