How could you ask that? I haven't bashed them or stood up for them...
nah, you just took umbridge with my opinion .. that isn't standing up for them at all ... quit acting fricking stupid and get out of the fricking thread if it is hurting your feelings ..

no we don't .. we can easily just say george's ISN'T the best hamburger in BR and leave it at that ... our opinion is our opinion .. our taste is our taste, who in the frick has to have "credibility" to establish their own personal taste ?? that's just fricking stupid ... 225 tries to establish itself as the authority on all that is hip and cool in BR and when it becomes obvious that something like this is at the very least clearly advertising driven .. that is where the term "credibility" comes into play ..
+1
i know a lot about food, but my taste buds are different than yours or anyone's. i don't expect everyone to agree with me, but if a person knows anything about food, they would know the best of BR was not represented fairly in this list. many of times the winner didn't even make the top 3

Rag, I promise you'll never hurt my feelings. You just sound bitter that your favorite places didn't get picked. Personally, I didn't agree with most of the winners either, if that makes you feel better.

no .. i just don't like advertising driven garbage that tries to disguise itself as responsible, legitimate journalism .. if 225 wants to PERSONALLY call those places the "best of" in BR and endorse them, that is one thing .. but to try to pull off the hoax that people actually voted that way and 95% of the winners just HAPPEN to be 225 advertisers is too much to swallow ..

and this isn't the first time that the legitimacy of this "best of" 225 poll has come under question on TD ..

To be honest, I don't really care about it's legitimacy. I don't read 225, and I don't make my food choices based on it's polls.

neither do i .. but i just have always had a problem with "journalistic" publications around town that are nothing more than advertising rags that fill gaps between ads with bullshite editorial content ... in-register and crap like that comes to mind ... it just disappoints me because i have always enjoyed 225 magazine outside of this crap ... oh, and the piece on millionaire richard preis that chastised every BR citizen that had trees fall during gustav because they don't spend $1K a month on an arborist like he does ..

I can agree we all have different taste but I can easily agree with Zombie on everything here.
