I can see Juban's as best overall restaurant in Baton Rouge. It is easily top 5 in food, consistency, & service, and probably #1 in atmosphere. Add all this up, I can see it as top restaurant.

See, I say just as easily and have for the last 15 years that Mansur's is the best all around in BR. To me, clearly Mansur's is the best. If you think Juban's is best then you think a sauce is best with inferior ingredients under it.

I suppose I'll need to try Mansur's out again

I haven't been there in years

Juban's is just a little saucy for my taste. I get French cuisine is a little saucy but I think good duck comes without a sauce drowning it....and that's Mansur's to me. And their Oyster's Bienville are really good.

Mansur's food is alittle better than Juban's on the whole, but the atmosphere of Juban's is the best in BR. I love the small semi private dining rooms of Juban's, the bar area, etc. The service of both places are great, so it is close between the two for Best Over All in BR.

If Mansur's would have won the vote, I could understand it as well.

I dont get why they were listed as French. They aren't French. they both list themselves as being Louisiana Cuisine and Steak. Louisiana cuisine might be cajun, or seafood.

Maison Lacour and Brandt's would be considered French.
