Man that fried trout was incredible and so were the fried oysters. Big win. Wife (no pics) is out of town and I may go back again tomorrow.

So many good things there. Even the toast is awesome.

I always slide on the greasy kitchen floor walking back to the bathroom.

One of my aunts lived a block away from that place and we'd get po-boys from it back when it was taboo for Catholics to eat meat on a Friday.

She lived in the 4200 block of Magazine and we'd either do Casamento's or directly across the street from where she lived they had a bar/restaurant that had great po-boys called Pete's.

Then sometimes we'd head up to Arabella to eat at Frankie & Johnny's since my Paran lived across the street from it.

Weirdest open schedule of any restaurant. But now I know they're open I want to go.

UUmmmm what? Need me to explain it to you?

In 1966 The United States Conference Of Catholic Bishops passed Norms II and IV that forbade Catholics from age 14 and up to eat meat on Fridays during Lent----AND throughout the year.

It wasn't strictly followed by anyone I know except during the Lent season.
