OP prolly didn't even read Juban's FAQ's on the site before he went to dinner.

Classic rookie move.

worst food experience in my entire life at jubans

I'm sorry, but this really doesn't sound all that bad to be running here to post this long arse review.

You went with a big group on a busy Saturday night and got a under cooked steak and had a slow service issue. No big deal. Complain to the server or manager and have your issue fixed.

The odds of a manager coming here to say email me at Juban'snerdmanager@gmail.com to offer a comp'd meal are much greater on the f&db board.

It's almost as if you've learned nothing from Peche/TJ Rib's threads.

At Juban's price point, what happened to the OP is unacceptable IMO.

It being a busy Saturday night is not an excuse. They need to be properly staffed.

No such thing as an undercooked steak to me. I got a rare hamburger last night at LuLu's and boy did that fricker come out rare. Had to face the burger away from people at my table, so as not to alarm them, and I think I grossed out the dude sitting next to me.

Take your wife on a small drive to Madisonville and try Keith Youngs and she will forget about last night...

Is that by the same folks as Young's in Slidell? They make a good steak.

I just had the absolute worst food experience in my entire life at jubans.

My wife and I both got steaks that were too rare to even eat (and I like medium rare steaks but ordered medium out of an abundance of caution).

I am absolutely sick right now thinking about our experience.

If you like medium rare what is the reason for this "abundance of caution?" what the frick does that even mean?

If an undercooked steak and waiting on a bill is the worst food experience of your life and you are absolutely sick about this experience then please stay home. If you can't ask a waiter to please cook this steak just a bit more than I pity you.

If you have dinner with me ( and I hope to god you don't) and tell me your steak is under cooked, I am snapping my fingers "Charlie, this vaginas steak needs a bit more grill time. Can you take care of that please? Thank you."

It really is that easy Sally.

Hamburger can be too rare if in a packer and not a fresh grind

Too much bacterial worry for me

Why wouldn't a place like Jubans hand cut their own steaks? Those individually packaged steaks worth a frick? I grew up on Omaha steaks and I thought they kind of sucked. I asked for a rare steak one night at a restaurant, and the waiter said they could just take it out of the packaging and put it on the plate...I said no thanks I'll go with the fish.

I didn't think it was legal for a place to serve unprepared food to go like that.

Agree. An undercooked steak. Big fricking deal. Steak is one of the only items where it is completely expected to be sent back from time to time.

Also, OP said he stopped into the hall to privately ask for his check because he was SO upset over the steak that they had to leave the group.

What?

Especially from LuLus. There may be a handful of places I would eat a really rare burger. That ain't one of them.

Oh, and the OP is silliness.
