My mom was literally telling me last week how it's been many years since she ate at August, and wanted to go back sometime this fall.

Not no more.

This and the strain from defending lawsuits is what will get him.

Really sad. What Martini said about cashing checks with ---- is so true

It is very unusual. Especially in an industry with high turnover. Usually around 200 employees is when a company will split out their payroll/finance dept and add a person purely for HR/Benefits. Under 200 and it's usually a person that does payroll and has zero HR or insurance knowledge.

I understand but just like you I think there is a difference.

I see those folks (doing the best they can) as being personnel managers "to hire and fire" - and different from HR department "to write and enforce managing people policies".

Doing the best they can, yes. But when a work culture exists where bad behavior is the norm, they really can't do much.

John, if you're reading this, contact BigPerm. I'll hire you in a heartbeat to help me develop a restaurant concept. It's similar to Hooters but with better food and prettier women.

I think this is just the beginning. I have a feeling there are going to be more accusations regarding Besh himself.

I can't imagine what his family is going through. This is national news and I think he still has a child in grade school. Devastating for his family.

He's dropping like a concrete block. In minutes, he's going from star to the bottom of the barrel.

Wonder if he'll sell his ownership in BRG?

Obviously, people run around on their spouses all the time (not that it's okay though)

My problem, as has been mentioned, is his whole family shtick. I made the roasted cauliflower out of his family table cookbook last night. To be doing the shite he was while pimping his wife and kids on TV and in his books really rubs me the wrong way.

Bottom of the barrel with several million dollars in the bank. It isn't like this guy is going to be living in the streets.

A damaged reputation and harm to my family is bottom of the barrel to me. I wasn't talking about money.

Exactly. If he has an shred of human decency then he is indeed at the bottom of the barrel.

Well I believe you are either married or you aren't. If you want to sleep with the coat check girl than at least be man enough to tell your wife you just don't want to be married anymore and go on about your business. How he would think he could do this and actually it not come out shows me the intelligence of the guy. Like he's a dumbass.

And he may be able to salvage some sort of a career but he sure is going to have to work for it. Look at Paula Deen.

And as far as money, no one knows how much he has or is worth but no one also knows how leveraged the guy and the businesses are as well. He might end up with a few million bucks but give half to the wife and a bit more to the others coming out as well as his attorneys and those dollars can dry up in a hurry. He could be back as a line cook shortly.

FYI - CelebrityNetWorth.com says Besh is worth $8 million (before divorce settlement and lawsuits).

His statement indicated the affair was two years ago and it read as if he'd already started to repair his marriage etc... before this became national news. I'm thinking his wife already knew about the one affair. Don't know if there were others.

The family is known to be very Catholic and very religious. I believe his statement addresses that as well to some extent.
