I don't see what the fuss is about. It is small and packed and food was like a blimpie.

1.Seek out Potbelly
2.Order Italian with hot peppers
3.Banish all similar sandwich shops from memory

If you don't get peppers on it, the sandwich is bland.

Billy club on wheat with peppers is excellent.

Italian night club with peppers on white is also ballin.

I've tried it twice and I've been saying that all along. Not cheap either.

I'm sorry, but Jimmy John's was always the fire in college when you were drunk.

JJ's is exactly what it is: a sandwich place. I think the bread is pretty good, peppers are a must, and I like their avocado spread. To say any of these sandwich chains are great or if anyone ever had an expectation that they would be great, you obviously need to reevaluate your taste. It's quick, it's decent, it gets the job done when you aren't able to go somewhere better.

its a $4.50 sandwich that gets made in less than 2 minutes...

what exactly did you expect? of course its not "great", but it is quick and easy

Quiznos might have some better sandwiches, but it costs almost twice as much and takes at leas 3x longer to make...doesn't have a drive through...doesnt deliver...and isnt open until 3 or 4 a.m.

Unless you think it is a gross and not edible, I would say you get what you pay for with a $4 sandwich...of course its not PotBellys/Firhouse/Subway/Quiznos/any NO Poboy Shop, is it even supposed to be competing with them?

I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be competing with other chains like Subway and Quiznos. I doubt it is really trying to compete with locals.

it doesnt have hot sandwiches, soups, salads and doesnt really let you customize their sandwiches a whole lot

i think it just is what it is and you either like it or you dont

ETA: I just dont understand why people expect it to be better than a $10 fried shrimp poboy or something

All correct. And some of us want a healthy alternative to a fried catfish poboy. I know a fried catfish poboy is better than a JJ sandwich.....no shite it's better.

For a reasonably healthy sandwich JJ's is a good option.
