keeping up with the neely's

Are they still around? I thought they divorced and were gone a long time ago. I didn't see but a few of their shows or parts of them.

I love Chopped, not for the competition of the show, but because over the years I've learned about a lot of ingredients and foods with which I wasn't familiar along with some techniques and some flavor balances. Some of those competitors get pretty creative and I enjoy watching that. I liked Iron Chef for similar reasons, though it's a much higher level of cooking, obviously.

I can't watch Pioneer Woman, but there are some recipes on her site that I've enjoyed like the crash hot potatoes and the Italian drip roast recipes, though I change those up a bit. Great game watching food whether it's her recipe or another one or my own. I also like her best baked beans or something like that recipe. She's got some decent things on her site particularly for weeknight family cooking. Can't say that I've used much else on it and I haven't looked at it in a long time, but the most recent was her husband's butter steak on the grill deal. Most of her stuff doesn't interest me at all.

I find Giada too distracting to watch. When she says "and now!" over and over again, I have to switch channels. That woman can spread her fingers apart wider than most normal people.

I don't watch FN like I used to about 5 or so years ago. I like watching the shows on LPB.

I don't know that a tailgate show is going to last long or even a strictly Louisiana show, but I do believe Jay has the personality to host a cooking show.

I wish they'd let Jay keep Bite and Booze and make it his show name, and let him travel the country eating delicious food and drinking delicious beer and doing reviews/commentary on them.

love these.
america's test kitchen is awesome

I've really tried to like chopped and I think the premise of the show is awesome and sucks you in, but every episode i've watched is a boohoo cry fest where the contestants have to compete in honor of a deceased family member because that person taught them how to cook, etc. it really kills the mood and makes me change the channel. i don't want to feel sorry for someone on a show, just leave that out and they can compete and win.

I tape Chopped, so if I need to FF, I can do so. I agree that the special circumstances have gotten old. Everyone doesn't need a sob story. That's not interesting on this show. I'm always refreshed when someone says they just want to go on vacation and there's no sob story associated with it or just investing more money into their own restaurant.

Going to be shocked if he doesn't win. He's been the most consistent in the show and only one to never be up for elimination

Filmed 3 different endings, and very few know which ending will actually get aired

That stinks. So the reactions will be totally fake. Do most reality shows do this?

Enjoyed the pilot. It really seemed like every other foodnetwork show staring Guy Fieri, though. Maybe thats how all 3 pilots will be, and then they can do their own thing. Who knows.

Rooting for you, Jay!

They're all going to be on point after they take 9 takes and crop them.
