I wasn't sure it was possible to make Alabama look any worse than they already do, but I was wrong.

That's pretty fricked up, but look at all that beer in that picture.

A few years back they raided some guy's house after he was interviewed in the local paper saying he homebrewed. Turns out the guy was also distilling and running a small grow-op as well, not that there's anything wring with that, but they got the warrant to raid his house over brewing beer.

Pretty ridiculous. "Our beer drink pretty good."

A classic

Of all the ridiculous shite we've dealt with in changing beer laws in MS, I'm continually amazed by the arse clowns in Alabama.

BWClark174 @BeerSTJournal @hopcity backwards is an understatement. If Nick Saban wanted to home brew they would change the laws to allow it.

Check some of the FBD threads. We've got some heavy hitters these days.

Even though homebrewing in MS is still illegal as well, the head of the State Tax Commission over here (they're in charge of the ABC agents here) said in a newspaper article about homebrewing that she only had 21 agents to cover the entire state and they're not concerned about people who homebrew. They have pressing issues like selling to minors, expired licenses, illegal sales from people without licenses, etc.

Yes, the comments on the AL.Com article were interesting.

I'd tend to agree with the people on there that he probably pissed someone off or someone didn't want him infringing on their business. There's apparently plenty of Homebrew shops in AL.

Very little doubt about it. It shouldn't even be illegal to sell the hardware.
