Like Metallica said, Vincent's is traditional red sauce Italian, old school feel, as is Venezia's in Mid City.
Throw in Ristorante Fillipo in Metairie as a good red sauce place.

I like Osteria Lupo for what it is, but sometimes I want red sauce, old man Dago waiters, and Sinatra on the speakers.

Vincent's - you gotta try the corn and crab bisque in the bread bowl.

Hot take: of the 100 largest US cities, New Orleans is fairly “mid” when it comes to Italian food.

Define mid and let us know the top tier cities.
I’m genuinely curious

Lester he not only doesn’t have the gumption but I highly doubt he has the wherewithal nor the guts to say that to your face.

Yeah that's a solid place.

What about Adolfo's? Anyone been there since Adolfo died? I remember really enjoying it in the past.

And Vincent's not good enough for the top 15?

And I wouldn't put Gendusa's on the top 10, but it should make the honorable mention list just for the portions.

The loyalty some people have for that place. Is it just the mafia history with the Marcello family?
